Privacy Policy

The short version: BeatPace works entirely on your device. Your runs, your music, and your motion and location data are never sent to us or anyone else. No accounts, no data collection, nothing sold.

Information BeatPace Uses

To do its job, BeatPace requests access to the following on your iPhone:

Motion & Fitness (accelerometer): used in real time to detect your step cadence so the music can sync with your movement. Processed live on-device; raw motion data is not stored or transmitted.
Location (GPS): used during a workout to calculate distance and pace. Workout stats are saved only in the app's local storage on your device.
Media Library (Apple Music): used only when you choose a song, so BeatPace can play it and analyze its tempo. Analysis happens on-device. BeatPace never uploads your music or your library contents anywhere.

What We Collect on Our Servers

Nothing. BeatPace has no user accounts, no analytics SDKs, no ad networks, and no backend that receives your personal data. Session history, personal bests, and campaign progress are stored locally on your device and are deleted if you delete the app.

Health Data

If a future version offers Apple Health integration, writing workouts to Health will be optional, controlled by you through iOS permissions, and governed by Apple's HealthKit rules. Health data will never be used for advertising or shared with third parties.

Children

BeatPace is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date.
